PremieresWritten by Daniel Aagentah on

In the continuously evolving landscape of electronic music, it's always fun to stumble upon a new and interesting sound-fusion to contrast the norm. Today, we're excited to spotlight a release & track that does just that. Hailing from Glasgow, the label Bricolage recently started working closer with us, and in their next iteration, the label have offered some more musical craftsmanship from the talented Wilks, in the form of his latest EP, "Left Hand Drive".

"Left Hand Drive" marks a significant addition to the label's impressive catalogue, offering a six-track journey through minimal and experimental soundscapes. The EP stands out to me in its fusion of ambient textures, organic percussives, and ethereal vocals; crafting an immersive auditory experience that captivates from the first note to the last.

Among the standout tracks, "First Light" shines particularly bright. As we premiere this gem today, listeners are invited into some breakbeat rhythms and powerful low-end energy, creating a compelling narrative that’s both vibrant and introspective.

Overall, the EP is a bold statement from Wilks which showcases a skill in creating music that resonates both deeply and emotionally. It’s a journey through sound that reflects the artist’s attention to detail and his passion for crafting unique obscurities.

Set to release on March 29th, "Left Hand Drive" will be available to buy here. We're excited to see what else both names can bring to the table in in 2024.
