Premiere: Tribal's 'Solid Air' on Redacted
Redacted Audio returns to Rendah Mag in good faith with their latest charity compilation, ‘Kikazaru 02’. Kikazaru is the 2nd extension of their charity series, and the title stems from the Japanese proverbial “hear no evil”. With revenues being directed to children in Palestine, this 6-track EP of of dark and brooding rhythms provide a contemplative mirror for this age old adage. Always globally and politically minded in their vision, Redacted calls upon local talents in Bristol and London to put together 6 tracks ranging from dubstep, 140, to grimey halftime rhythms.
It’s not every day we get the opportunity to premiere a new name on Rendah Mag, but today we’re presenting the Rendah debut of Tribal - a Bristol based producer whose track ‘Solid Air’ really caught our attention on this EP. With its dark bubbling bassline, accompanied by techy machine analog samples, the ethereal essence on the backend of the track really ties it all together for a hell of a transporting tune. Biggups.
In a time of strife, unrest, and political turmoil this release is a testament to the the power of music to make a difference in the world. Through fundraising but also the healing power of getting lost in some savage beats for a few brief moments of solace or catharsis. We’re very proud of Redacted for their efforts on this front.
Available on January 12th, all proceeds will be donated to the Palestinian Children Relief Fund (PCRF).
You can grab it here on Friday.
