Music and art unite for Ukraine

As the conflict continues in Ukraine, the citizens are forced to seek shelter, aid, and above all, a sense of peace amidst the crisis. It’s imperative of us all to unite in support of the people in and fleeing Ukraine during this devastating moment in history.

We are deeply appreciative of all the artists involved in their efforts to assist in every way possible, the united efforts of the music community to support their fellow humans in times of need is nothing short of commendable and it is truly inspiring to see.  Raising a remarkable £36,000 in one day alone, at the time of writing this article less than a week since the project's launch, the community has amassed a sum total of over £66,000 Euros and shows no sign of slowing down.

The 'Together with Ukraine' compilation project was vastly embraced by many admirable music producers across the scene. The tremendous compilation standing with Ukraine includes 136 exclusive tracks ranging over several bass music genres and 30 denoted pieces of visual art, a commendable act of organization and focused endeavour from our beloved artists across the globe.  The diversity and wide scope of sounds and visual art submissions go to show the far-reaching span and impact of this conflict on humanity as a whole, it touches each of us regardless of where our ‘home’ is.

Special credit to Vlad Yaremchuk aka B.Kind, who put together the entire project to support their kin and homeland, it's an honour to be able to lend some support to those in direct contact in the conflict.  It must be said that the sentiment behind this project provides as much hope and optimism as do the monetary donations, and it's our hope that these tracks and visuals provide some refuge and relief to our extended family at all parts of the earth.

All proceeds directly donated to the Ukraine Red Cross Society, providing vital humanitarian aid and services to the front line. Please contribute however you can and spread the message of Ukrainian solidarity. May art, music, and community continue to be a source of refuge for each of us as we move together courageously through these troubled times, from darkness into light.

This project exists to research the topic of creative context within underground & experimental arts. Through the lens of creative-journalism, we explore the life-cycle of artists and their projects, in an otherwise undocumented space.
