Premiere: Sweetpea delivers 'Munka' for Sofa King Sick IV

Fresh off the heels of EQ50 at XOYO, London, Sweetpea drops 'Munka' on Sofa Sound Bristol's renowned Sofa King Sick compilation series. Reaching its fourth edition, the first sampler features Sweetpea's tune as well as a VIP of Molecular's 'Skank'.

Hailing from the UK, Sweetpea is a Drum & Bass / Jungle producer and DJ with trademark energetic sets covering a range of styles. Breaking through on pirate radio 10 years ago, she eventually hosted shows on popular radio stations such as RINSE and BBC Radio 1. Releasing her first tune in 2016 on Terabyte Records, she has released music on Hospital Records, Dispatch, Sofa Sound and Spearhead Records. In 2021, Sweetpea released her debut solo EP 'Undercover' featuring MC Chickaboo and Shady Novelle. In addition to DJing, Sweetpea is a founding member of EQ50 which is a collective of women addressing inequality and representation in dance music.

Winning Best Newcomer Label at 2021's D&B Arena Awards DLR's Sofa Sound has grown into one of the most popular Drum & Bass labels. With a strong focus on representing the talent closest to DLR's heart, the imprint aims to give 'space to new talent as well as certified legends'. Turning four with its latest edition, Sofa King Sick is a go-to for every USB stick. Additionally, the visual direction is realized by the brilliant Adam Menzies.

Kicking things off, Sweetpea's 'Munka' ties in well with her recent output. Pulsing bass and techy drum grooves makes excellent vibes!
