Premiere: Stain returns to Boxout.fm with 'Bhul Jao'
Following collaborations with Zed Bias and DJ Plead on the label, Stain returns to Boxout.fm Recordings with a solo outing. Dropping on December 1st, the 'Moral Dysfunction EP' features entrancing subcontinental polyrhythms and Eastern beats.
New Delhi's Dubstep maestro Stain delves into sinister depths with his sound, employing profound basslines, ominous soundscapes, and innovative drum patterns. After his first track as Stain in 2017 called 'Inner Voice', he continued with a streak of self-releases on Bandcamp. Boxout.fm caught wind of him and released his collaborations with Zed Bias and DJ Plead.
Boxout.fm Recordings is the offspring of the Indian online radio station Boxout.fm. Spotlighting alternative music and culture in the country, the station emerged from a pressing desire for a community-driven space. Their mission is to cater to the community's needs and foster its growth by providing a thoughtfully curated perspective on India's evolving musical and cultural landscapes, whether they unfold online or offline. Aside Stain's productions, the label has released music by artists such as CEE with Rider Shafique, MadStarBase, Merak, and Oceantied.
Stain's 'Bhul Jao', meaning 'forget it' in Punjabi, exceptionally encapsulates what makes deep, meditative Dubstep so good. Intricate drum patterns, enchanting melodies and those deep sub-bass layers. We're delighted to upload this banger!
