Through his blog FrozenDub and Frozen Plates he has been supporting and releasing dubstep for quite some time. Respectfully one of the hottest yet sly dubplate labels with their limited cut releases and simply put quality dubstep at its finest. The limited number of copies and the occasional time-zone differences to purchase on time make these releases highly sought after for any dubplate collector out there. Pushing the sounds of dubplate culture, this next cut is brought to you by two producers, Volume A and Bnml both hailing from Malta, a small country in the central Mediterranean residing between Sicily and the North African coast. These Maltese selectas have been cultivating bass music and sound system culture in Malta for many years with countless events to continue pushing the sounds further. Crafting his sound for ten years now, Volume A is safe to say he finally enjoys his own music, that being said he’s very excited to showcase his new material created over the course of quarantine. Bnml, also known as Ethcore his wave bass alias, accompanies Volume A implementing even more depth to the record.

Side A Purcinel originating from the Italian word “Pulcinella” ,a classical puppetry character from Italian theater comedies. Representing a simple man who faces all of his problems with a smile. Despite the caliginous nature of the track, hopefully, it’ll leave a smile on your face once it begins. Volume A & Bnml come through with a retching dark stepper that creeps up and progresses in-depth with stealthy sub-bass to have you bouncing about. A proper gully opener for what's to come.

Side B Move Forward, the solo track from Volume A is the evident stomper of the record. Extracted from the inspiration of old-school dubstep sounds from the likes of Skream & Coki. Addressing those influences, the track's sub-bass lurks in and is met with a fierce bass line. As the track moves forward (pun intended) it just gets heavier and darker truly showcasing Volume A’s dark sound.

The digital bonus Dubji (pronounced doo-bee) from Volume A & Bnml is a straight heavyweight floor shaker. With the consistent low end alongside the thumping kick, it cuts very deep. The melodic dub atmosphere intertwined with the wonky bassline makes it a lethal track for any sound system.

As intended this frigid release will have any dance floor getting down like a glacier in open waters falling to the depths of the beyond so don’t miss your chance to grab this plate.
