Premiere: HEIRZ comes forth on Jalaya's latest Remix EP

PremieresWritten by Daniel Aagentah on

Oregon-based heavyweight Jalaya has been on our radar this past year as he pushes through with an impressive catalogue—a healthy mixture of label & self-releases has driven both his creative abilities and consistency within the industry.

This month he pushes on with an interesting new project—a remix EP of his track Heart Tear (Ft. Holly Drummond). The release features remixes from names such as just john, SIGKILL, FRANTIK, OK. Kevin, and HEIRZ.

The original track explores a frantic use of melodic saw-tooth driven basses, snappy drum work, and some beautiful vocals from Holly Drummond—everything you could expect from an energetic Jalaya track.

Today, we'd like to highlight & premiere a personal favourite from the release. HEIRZ's contribution outlines a low-frequency twist on the original, making use of high-pass drums, gleaming subs, and a choppy take on the vocal stems—very gully.

It's great to see all these names coming together, and we're excited to see what the rest of 2022 has in store for them. The whole release is out now, and you can check it out or download it here.
