Premiere: The Outset of YOSHUU

PremieresWritten by Colin Benson on

YOSHUU makes a thunderous return via Blackout Music NL with Outset, a five-track EP that plunges into the dark catacombs of Neurofunk-set to release on November 22nd.

The Romanian producer slices through the chaos, almost ninja-style style with his stealthy razor-sharp production and unrelenting energy, YOSHUU first turned heads with his breakout double single Envy/Apparantia on DIVIDID which til this day wreaks havoc on the dancefloor. Followed by his standout collab Controlled featured on SLWDWN’s debut Blackout release. After a brief hiatus, this latest installment is a testament to his growth and unstoppable creativity.

YOSHUU joins forces with fellow Romanian talent kVR adding a dynamic touch while injecting Blocksberg’s primitive vocal work brimming with an outburst of raw emotion. Breathing new life into his signature ball of fire energy, delivering tracks that are as precise as they are punishing.

Released on Blackout Music NL, a label synonymous with innovation in Neuronfunk and beyond, Outset continues the legacy established by Black Sun Empire in 2013. Known for championing cutting-edge production and pushing the genre into uncharted territories. Blackout’s catalog stands as a beacon of quality with over a decade of groundbreaking releases that have defined modern Neurofunk, remaining a constantly evolving powerhouse while paving the way for its future.

YOSHUU brings You - yet another adrenaline-charged beat with richly textured basses, sizzling percussions, riveting grooves, and hypnotic synth lines all wrapped around an atmosphere of space as if you’re about to take off into an unknown galaxy. The halftime breakdown in the second half leaves no remorse with its unrelenting drum breaks.

As a final note, we wanted to thank Seth for allowing use to showcase both the current artwork, and an earlier version exclusively.

Mission Statement

This project is crafted to be open and collaborative. Through this, we seek to explore core themes within a structured framework:

  • Symbiosis: Can artists and communities have better relations?
  • Meaning: What matters in pursuing and preserving artistic influences?
  • Intersectivity: Are there chartable commonalities within art and technology?

By asking questions, we hope to observe something new; and with that, offer our own perspective.
