Glume is a UK-based 140 producer and mastering engineer. He quickly carved his place within the UK bass music scene with his unique blend of grime, techno and other influences.

Phossa is situated in the same genre and long-time collaborator. Together they released a broad range of 140 with distinct and colorful style fusing classic UK sound with a melodic twist.

Over the lockdown period, Phossa also wrote a more musical and experimental EP under the name Luke Barnett. He had solo stuff on Panel and White Peach Records, amongst others. In September 2020, Samba released their tune ‚Lantern‘ as part of the 'In Bloom LP' on 26.Rain. Their self-released 'Silk Worm EP' in March this year was followed by 'Banshee' on Deep Medi Musik.

"The Banshee EP was one of the last projects we worked on together in Bristol before moving to live elsewhere. After playing 'Banshee' across 2019 the track had picked up some interest and as our time in Bristol came to an end, we sat down to write three accompanying tracks that celebrated the last few years making music there“, reads their statement.

"After only having the tracks for a few months, lockdown hit and we never really had a chance to play the rest of the EP out to an audience, so we are excited to finally share these tracks at a time when shows are beginning to look possible again."

Deep Medi Musik is a British Dubstep label founded in 2006 (15 years young this year) by Mala. A common theme within their releases is described as "music that you can feel".

'Schisms' is 100% Glume & Phossa, deep, deadly subs, twisted drums fleshed out by an ever-flowing chord progression. Can’t deny the Hip Hop flavour here!
