These past months have been exciting as we work more closely with SATURATE. Their label (and sister label Sound Museum) has been on the forefront of eccentric underground bass music, pushing on with a fierce catalogue—with no sight of slowing down.

Recently announced, their VOL .9 V.A speaks to another promise in this respect, featuring some incredible music from names such as Hawkword & Bakaman, not yes, Dead End, PRESTUS, DGTL•SGNL, STATX & Long Tongue, Maysev, Dayzero, Finnoh & Jack, Jalaya & Dark Velvet, Starkey ft. Aprilfoolchild, RATIONAL SOUL, Lewcid, and Tapping Into The Machine.

Today, we’re pleased to highlight & premiere a personal favourite from the release. Berlin-based heavyweight Bukez Finezt's track Shaggy Mullet is best described as an "abrupt, grime-influenced 121 heater", featuring a clever use of retro 8-bit samples, grime vocals, and a Bukez-esque use of groovy low-end subs. An all-around fitting track for this release to say the least.

It’s great to see this V.A taking fruition, and no doubt we’ll have some more to discuss on this release as a whole as things progress. The full release drops on the 20th of June, and will be available via SATURATE's Bandcamp.
